btw this is the original post I responded to. Had nothing to do with you guys and was between me and dustee. He has teh same bike I used to have so I responded to him. woot you've even seen a motorcycle crash you've seen a tankslap...it's what the handlebars do right before the bike went down. Sometimes the bars can slap the tank but the bike rights itself. Look at the video's I posted.

He said I didn't tankslap at 150 cause I wouldn't be around to talk about it. Then you chimed in that doing so at 100 would likely result in the same. Well wrecking at 100 or 150, while not a good time, doesn't ensure death either. One of the first things I was told before I rode was to watch video's of guy in GP wrecking and how they slowly roll while they're sliding. I'm just saying..I know you own a cruiser so I'm not really calling you out for not riding but more for just general noobishness. Bassturd on the other hand is not the Valentino Rossi he's making himself out to be.

people look right through bikes. They're looking for cars and don't even think to look for bikes. Being a rider has made me a safer passenger vehicle driver though, I am always looking for robs on bikes.

In 07 I had a harley sportster 1200 brand new. Had like 250 miles on it when some dickhead on a cellphone pulled out in front of me in a chrysler 300 and I waxed him doing 65. Fucked me up pretty good.

i had to dump out going about 30 and that was pretty rough, walked away from it though. Cant imagine 65 and a TBone situation. Now that I got a wife I sometimes think about selling, but everytime I fire up those pipes on a perfect sunny day, somehow I cant think of life without teh bike lol

yeah I got lucky and hit a honda civic that was stopped at a red light. Stopped me from sliding on about 35 more yards of gravel and then heading into a shitload of pine trees. Crushed the door of the civic in and the driver couldn't get out. I remember laying next to his car listening to his grown ass cry on the phone with 911 lmao

I was actually fine for about the first 10 minutes, but then I guess my adrenaline wore off and I got shaky and puked haha

I snagged one of the old style valkries before they fucked it up with that Rune or whatever they called that ugly piece of shit.

It's plenty fast for a married rob with a kid.

Really thinking about selling both and getting a Night Rod though. IDK why but I fucking love those

ANd I realize every crash is different, but there was a local guy that hit a car that pulled out infront of him while he was going slower than 65, and he still popped up off the bike high enough to ruin his shit on a traffic light. Just an fyi when you talk about what speed you were goin.

Not sure if ur comment is to agitate him for a response, however having reconstructed accidents for investigation, what he mentions in both scenarios is quite plausible. Just a FYI.
 
Just ordered my sweet "teh jacket", armor and helmet. Jacket and helmet alone was $900. Freaking crazy. Worth the protection though.

It's a race jacket, so it's very different from Dave's teh jacket. Built in armor, thick leather. Looks sexy.

I have a Yamaha R1 it's fast n fun I had accident riding wheelies let down front tire about 110 only had 40- 50 ft before a back to back 90 degree bends I lost track of we're i was on the road missed my let down spot broke tibia fibula acl cut me calf muscle in half they said the jeans saved my leg blew my need threw the skin tore the shirt out of my knee 1 yr before had back surgery L234 herneated discs also some bulging discs too re injured back then another back surgery took two full yrs to walk its been crazy now have RSD in rt leg for life there's no cure but I'm back 30 days in ICU then had to get drove to a specialist at the Cleveland clinic they were awsome always be careful of everything Stephen ur riding oh also still ride still have a R1
