I am a junkie...

Yeah...I am a Sunday Training Junkie...

Sometimes I think that I take this way too far. I type up my workout at least a day in advance with a 2-3 page written description on what I am doing and why I am doing it. I print it out so that I have a hard copy while I am training...

I walk through the events on Friday night in the driveway and again on Saturday night before I go to bed. When I do go to bed on Saturday night...I think about how each lift should feel the next day, what I am going to eat (which is always the same anyway) and make sure that I am fully prepared.

Belts, shoes, workout clothes (black or blue shorts, black socks, black shirt, 2 tank tops), chalk, pedialyte, lots of gatorade already cold, oatmeal, honey, milk, orange juice or lemonade, ibuprofen, icy-hot, video camera, digital camera, etc...etc...etc...

What did my friend in St. Louis call it...Obsessive Compulsive Disorder I think...

i write my ME move on paper along with my events. Then i go put the paper in the garage and I stand there for a while just looking around at what i will be using

I watch last weeks events on the camera because i'm afraid i'll miss something i forgot to capture to the computer.

I eat as much as i can saturday night to make sure i am strong fro sunday morning. then I tell my family to not make alot of noise in the morning because i need my sleep for the big day ahead of me.

as i'm doing the ME move i will be thinking about what ME move I will be doing next week

b-fold, you are a genuine freak. A two page descripton, lol, I cant even force myself to write down my sets reps and weights. However, writing out your workouts gives you a powerful tracking and planning tool. Is sunday like a competition simulation training day for you?

You are not alone, with all the articles I read and books my gf asked if I had a big exam yesterday, I said "yeah, Back day"

On Saturdays, I wake up, get out of bed, and think, 'damn... I shouldn't have drank last night.'

Then I meet the guys and set more PRs

Well...it is our ME Lower day and Event training day. Most all of my guys say that the contest is A LOT easier than our training sessions...

B-fold,
I would like to say thank you for all the time you have spent doing all these preparations. I know your planning has helped me greatly.
