Hypoglycemia

The Bigdawg

New member
Some blood work I had done shows that I have non diabetic hypoglycemia and was wondering if anyone else has had this or has this and what they do.

Its common with diabetics but not so common with those who don't.

I am used to being on very low carbs this time of year to lean out and now I have to change this in order to keep my blood sugar levels from getting to low. It sucks majorly as my body and carbs dont get along very well and I wanna lean out to my normal summer weight.

Have a appt coming up with an endocrinologist to determine the cause of this.

hypoglycemia is not a rare occurance among western men - a lot of processed food and chemicals tend to add/cause to the problem. See your doctor first before making any dietary decisions.

I have seen her and now she is sending me to a specialist to determine the cause.

I eat clean which is why this is puzzling.

I don't do the things or eat the things that are normally associated with this.

You eat processed food from the grocery store? non organic meat? non organic fruits / veggies? etc...? if so, you're, by default, taking in a load of chemicals, pesticides etc...

There are many toxins in food that people don't even realize exist. From pesticides to herbicides to GMOs. It's all bad for you in one way or another. Your body can have a negative response after years of digesting chemicals and poisons.

Try some cleanses and detox products.

I have been told that by someone else and am going to do one.

Thanks!

You'd be surprised what chemicals can do to your body. Try the cleanses and detoxes, you should see a huge difference in your health and an improvement in your insulin sensitivity. I'll get you a list of natural herbs you can also add.

thanks again!

My training partner is hypoglycemic. His is from years of being too heavy and not eating right. Hypoglycemia is really only altered by the food you eat. There isn't a magic pill or drug to take. He doesn't like carbs except for cheat meals due to how they make him feel (he used to pass out and get hot, sweat flashes if he was low or stuffed on cabs respectively). Now he controls it with small amounts of slow burning carbs in the am like oats and some simple sugars after a workout. With diet, you can negate most if not all of the symptoms.
