oil consumption is really how much of our personal spending as in individual? It'll never reach that. 5 dollars a gallon..maybe. but then supply and demand laws will take effect. It affects businesses profit margins more than anything

i agree the cumulative effect of the housing market/credit crunch, increased price of food and gas and the weak dollar are all major issues and obvious signs of recession.

but....things are cyclical. in 3-4 years this will all be irrelevant discussion and we'll be talking about how great things

i just wish i was european right now. those guys are investing BIG money (not much by their standards) in south america and the states right now and gonna make a killing.
