Both rumors were circulating. I did'nt see Gracie being as big of announcement, at least not the biggest announcement in UFC history. Very dissapointing.

I was also surprised to see Bonnar manhandle Irvin like he did.

I loved seeing Ludwig KOing Goulet as fast as he did. It sure seemed quicker than 11 seconds.

Tim Sylvia did'nt look that impressive IMO. Something about him really annoys me. I was pulling for Silva, but he was'nt aggressive enough to win. I was expecting Silva to try for more takedowns and use his BJJ. Arvloski will own Sylvia. I would love to see Fedor Emilaneko fight Arvloski. IMO Fedor is the baddest dude on the planet.

Burkman is tough kid....if he stay's healthy, he'll be given a title shot in the next year.

I'm just about fed up with the UFC. Yeah, big announcement... give me a break. Just get on with the St.Pierre vs Hughes fight, that's what we all want. The ufc has become so commercial lately with all the Spike tv stuff & over-advertising, over-hyping their fights. I liked it better when it was more underground. The events are now more about 1 huge over-hyped fight (eg.Couture/Liddell) than about presenting several good matches. I think Pride gives you much more bang for the buck. Not to mention that ufc keeps raising their price for ppv events. Used to be $ 29.95, then 34.95, now 39.95... give me a phreaking break. Enough ranting...
ps. Pride fighters are better too. I don't think any of the ufc reigning champs would have their belt (except maybe Hughes) if they were competing with the Pride guys.

I feel Pride is a superior product as well. There is alot more respect toward each other and toward fighting itself. Wanderlie Silva, Fedor Emilaneko, Quinton Jackson, Shogun and Ninja Rua, Cro-cop, Mark Hunt, Dan Henderson, Gomi, Sakuraba, I could go on and on. I would love to see an interpromotional between Pride and UFC.

I think the only way the sport will get better is to get some huge commercial sponsors... like Budweiser or some other huge conglomerate. Right now, the money is not here in the US. Pride fighters get paid well, therefore Pride is a better product. Dana needs to do whatever he can to siphon money into the sport.

You are correct, there is more money involved in Pride. They sell out every arena which holds 50-60 thousand people. UFC could'nt come close to that.

I think the "11 second" fight was bullshit. It was like 5 before the dude was knocked out. It just took the slow ass ref that long to call it.
