do u guys think HST is good for me?

cause of that thread it basically says that what im doing now is making me tired and i have practice on monday wed and can only get into the gym pretty much 3 times a week.

i was wondering if u guys think this is a good choice for me.


and if so, instead of stiffleg deads on legday can i put in regular deads? and if i want regular deads should it beon back day or keep on leg day.

and should i expect to get sore from this or not, and if not how will i know its working!? :worried:
 
question...

if my season starts nov 15th, should i not bother starting this.... i wont get very far in it if i start it now since ithis sems like a slow process..

should i just wait till march to start this?

I used to do stiff leg deads on leg day for hamstrings but I ended up dropping it. I train 5 days in a row from mon to friday so doing regular deadlifts on wendsday and SLDL's on friday wasen't working. I do reg. deadlifts on back day - about getting sore - soreness isn't an indication of growth but I have always gotten rediculously sore off deadlifts especially in the hams
 
Hey - I read your other thread just had a comment

When do you lift? You said you have practice 2x a week right now, do you lift on those days? Or your other non practice days?

also though i guess im not gunna start HST till after the season but i may as well get my questions out of the way.

if i were to insert deads, where would i insert them? would i alternate days squats then deads then squats then deads?

and also do you HAVE to alternate days like it seems to suggest in their samples

there are 2 real example HST workouts.
one is like squat 1 set sldl 2 sets then bench 2 sets dip 1 set and stuff and the other oen just says bench twice, next day dip 2 sets
and squat 2 sets next day leg press two sets.

which is mroe effective and i am confused by it sending 2 diff messages to me
 
HST is better for off-season. I'd do strength training during the season, planned so as to not fatigue you for practice
