HST feedback

Do any of you have success stories about using the HST training method? Lots of bros have good things to say about methods like 5x5 but I don't find much on HST.

If you have tried it, how did it go, and what was your experience with it?
 
It's okay, not my training style of choice though. Its good to do for 8 weeks here and there though. Just to switch things up and whatnot.
 
It's difficult to train full body 3x weekly, but the results are excellent. I'm doing a very clean bulk right now and actually dropping bodyfat while gaining weight (slowly of course). Currently I'm about 20 pounds heavier than when my avatar was taken with only a bit more bodyfat, and most of the gains are a result of my last 3 cycles of HST.

I've had great success on it and am now on my 5th cycle You can check out my journal on here for more info. Check out the HST site too and read everyhting!!..then give it an honest try and see how it works for you.

Evreyone I know thats gone through an entire cycle of it has had nothing but great things to say about it and almost everyone else who says they've tried it and didn't like it, didn't really go through an entire cycle of it.
 
I've been using it for the past 3 years more or less with varying degrees of "seriousness"... I gotta say it's my favorite way to train. I try to switch to different routines from time to time, but I always find myself coming back to it.
 
I have been considering it for some time, and doing some research on it, but I wanted to hear from the folks who actually used it.
 
I"m just finishing up my first HST cycle, and I have to say that I've loved it. The progressive loading and 2 week cycles keep every workout interesting and keep me constantly pushing myself and my limits. I'm just about to take 9 days off for strategic deconditioning, but then its right into my second cycle.
 
If HST is the best, then how come no pros train HST style? They train everything once per week with say 12-20 sets depending.

Now, seems to me if HST produced better gains then a traditional routine, there would be at least one big name doing it out there. Can't say I know of any though.
 
I'd have to agree, actually. That's something I wanted to mention, but forgot to. If you're not having fun with what you're doing, in regards to anything in life, then maybe it's time to look elsewhere. In the case of HST, if it doesn't intrigue you, and you can't look forward to going to the gym, ditch it. Even if it were the best method to add size.
