HST and Deads. Can it work?

I start my new HST cycle this week and I wanted to incorporate deads, either rack or full. I havent done them since I started HST in September and I really miss them. Have any of guys them for this program and if so, how did it effect other lifts such as squats?
 
The most common complaint is that doing both was too much lower back work.

I personally get away with 3 sets of squats and 2 sets of SLDL, but that's just me. (A nice result has been the development two fat spinal erectors :D)

Bottom line: I'd say try it and see if it works for ya. Worst case scenario is you alternate them or switch to leg press for quads.

If you do them, just use leg press for legs instead of squats.
That seems to work well. Then next cycle, use squats and no deads.
 
Or, just alternate squats with leg press and [something for back] with deads so that you do squats one workout and deads the next. My next HST cycle, I'm gonna try for deads and squats I think (though I've never done a 15 rep set of deads...)
