Yes. One of the many lovely side effects of prolonged AAS use - suppression or shutdown of your HPTA axis - secondary hypogonadism, low endogenous testosterone. That and screwing up your lipids and cardiovascular health are probably the two most unfortunate side effects of steroids. Bummer, eh? But I guess if steroids were healthy everyone would be doing them and we would not be unique right? Usually guys go on HRT after they have done very long "cycles" over time and they don't want to wait the months and more for their natural test levels to come back up. After all, you can lose gains that way. Lots of guys do it so they don't need to do PCT after cycles. Pretty dumb thing to do if you are young. I went on HRT when I was 50, so my test was low anyway. Still, kind of a bummer to have a dependency.

yeah recovery is interesting, it takes a lot longer than people will admit to fully recover and though it is an almost universal rule that you will recover, the time frame for that recovery can be excessively long.

for example, there was a study where young men took 600mg test E for 20wk and some were given pct some were not. those w/o pct's recovery times ranged from 3 months to over 2 years. it was like 2% of the group that took longer than 9 months to recover but it is a highly personal thing.

if you want to make damn sure you recover you need HCG and anti-e's, imo any anti-e will do i say pick the one with the least side effects and as long as you use HCG you are good to go. also it may take more than 4 weeks to recover from a cycle that is longer than 12 weeks even using all the appropriate drugs.

People say time on equals time off. Not so. Double that. And you STILL may not have completely recovered. PCT doesn't bring back levels. It just gives the body a jump start to begin healing on its own. Most guys fell better after PCT, think they're cured, and go right back on. They're the ones who are on HRT at 35.

i just read on another forum about this guy who just got hrt.

hes given this german test from Bayer Schering Pharma.
he was told to get back and do one inject every 10-14 week, 1000 mg testosteronundekanoat.

isnt that a bit to much, wouldnt the sides be less when given e2w or more often injects?

what do u guys think?

That's the long acting ester, which they use in Europe, but not in the U.S. Since it is the long ester the 1000 mg is released slowly and evens out through the 14 weeks. It is actually the best for keeping serum test levels steady.

It depends on lots of things - your age, PCT, length of cycle, etc. The only way to know for sure is do a cycle and get your test levels checked around three months after PCT, and see where you are. It's good to get a baseline first, i.e. get blood work done and test levels checked before your cycle to see what your natural levels are- what you want to return to. Getting test levels checked frequently is a bit of a hassle though, if you want insurance to pay for it, since you usually need a medical reason for to get sex hormones checked.
