HRT help!!!

New member
So I have done blood work multiple time back in the spring and all my test came back low. Like 300 test levels. I have been using self prescribed hrt since the spring and feel much better.

My problem is I would like to geta script so I don't have to worry about getting gear.

I have blue cross blue shield insurance and I live in ny.

What's the best way to go about this?

If any one in the tri state area knows of a good doctor or clinic please let me know

Thanks

clinics are BIG $$ (and they busted on in Westchester county and Boca a couple of years ago--and sent rather annoying letters to the patients) so find a good doc who believes in quality of life/longevity issues. Mine believes that 300-800 is too low as the sample includes old and ill people. He has made a strong case to me that 1300 will make you live longer with a better quality of life (but have to always watch cholesterol and early onset BPH + the typical sides). That said, he does not believe in GH--said some things are meant to drop others just bad breeding over the years (e.g. male sperm count is less than 50% of what it was as late as 1970)

I do not use my insurance for any of this and buy my own supply from trusteed peeps + plus the few bottles of cyp every few months.

You'll have to stop self-medicating, let your test levels drop and than apply for TRT, but I can assure you it's not going to be easy if you don't find a doctor who understands your problem.

I think you will find most ins companies arent going to foot the bill for TRT. Im pretty sure BCBS doesnt.

BCBS will depending on your plan with an authorization letter from doctor. Even so, you can get a free prescription card online that would let you get a 10ml vial which would be a 2.5 month supply at 200mg a week for about $65, pretty cheap compared to a lot of other things...

It was pretty conclusively shown through studies that low T causes prostate cancer more than higher T levels...

It's easy if you have low T. See an Endo. Explain symptoms. Get blood work done to see what the levels are. Then get prescribed TRT.

Yes.....however....DO NOT give in to letting them prescribe test injections once every 2,3 or 4 weeks. That is bullshit. Once a week or tell them to suck a dick.

Yea once a week and let me do it my self....

The only thing that sucks is I'm gonna have to come off my self prescribed dose for a few weeks and then get tested.

Should I be honest and tell them I'm self medicating????

I have blood work that I did my self showing low T but I doubt they will use it

I would absolutely show them your previous blood work.

I would absolutely NOT mention your previous self medicating. They might get the idea that you caused your own suppression and either deny you or want you to go months to see if your T levels come back. I would wait a month to let the test clear your system before you let someone else do bloods.

Yea bro. I hear yea. A full month of low t will fucking blow.

Kinda makes me not want to do it but I'm the long run a script will be worth.

Would hate to go a month of low t and still not get a script. That would blow

True. A good Endo will not give you the 3-4 week injections. They know better. I started at 200mgs every 2 weeks then mentioned that the second week crash wasn't working. Reduced it to 10 days at 250mgs.

That's really good.

Lay off your self prescribed Test for 3-4wks and don't tell them you've been self medicating. My doc gives me 200mg a week and my levels went from 196 to 1296 the first 8 wks. There are several sites to look up TRT in your area with people's comments and feedback. It's so much better getting Testosterone from the pharmacy that way you know it's clean and good to go. Not to mention frequent blood work. Good luck to you.
