Hrt dosage question?

I just started my HRT regimen today did all the bloodwork twice. My test leeks came back low both times. I have read up that the typical hrt dose is about 200 mg of test every 14 days. I get To the docs office today and see the nurse and he tells me the doc is injecting me with 200 a month, so WTF!!! Then we will do labs in three months to see whats up. It honestly sounds like I'm gonna be on a rollercoaster for three months when he should Of just put me on the typical dose.I wasn't able To see the doc today to discuss it, but is this a typical dose? cuz I'm kinda freaked out by the protocol. My father goes to the same clinic diff fix though and he is in his 50's and is prescribed 100 a week. You guys have any suggestions on what I should do?should I supplement from another source until I do my labs in three months and not inject a couple weeks before so he will put me on the right dose or do you think I have a valid concern to call him up and tell him he is retarded. The nurse even told me that he thinks it is messed up. Any advice or help Would be appreciated.

call and talk to the doc. tell him you have done research and that 1 once a month injections seem wrong because of the half life of the drug and 2 that the dosage seems very low. average 50mg of test per week?

dont mess w/ the dosages one way or the other.. just work w/ this doc or find a new one.

I would just fine a new Dr bro. This guy either does not know what he is doing or is so conservative that it is not gonna do you much good.

Yeah man it's one shot of 200 mg of test cyp a month. I was thinking about calling him. The nurse who injected me said the doc has an old school mentality towards things. I just don't want the doctor thinking I have seeking behavior.

Yeah I know he always nickel and dimes me with everything. I just hate Doctors that don't listen to their patients.I will call I'll let you know what happens.

i agree, a new doc/endo for sure.. after all they call it practicing medicine, not curing disease, and treating declined performance/quality of life..

The shitty thing is ( well not really shitty), but I'm not paying for it. I am going through the VA. Government health care at it's finest.

talk to your doctor.. you would be surprised at what happens when you talk to them. they are snobby as hell and might give you attitude but if you are firm and request something they will hook you up. otherwise fire him and go somewhere else.

also i hope you have exhausted all other alternatives before going on HRT. you are young

Yeah I have exhausted every avenue for the past three years. I haven't felt right. For gods sake I haven't even been Laid in that long. I knw it's not all about strange but it is odd and I just wanna feel like a normal dude.

100% get another doc. Im no pro but my doc did 5-6 different labs then came to a conclusion then sent me for a MRI. After all those test he decided on 600mg a month. I then talked to him about doing 800mg per month and he was all for it.
