mondays suck

one of my tupperwares with applesauce spilled in my lunch bag, now I only have about half the applesauce+protein powder for my second meal, which I'm eating right now :(

and waiting on my book...and the sinks were clogged over the weekend, thought the plumber guy had fixedt them but hes back now
i hope the sinks arent stoppedup again...that just sucked
 
I'll be hitting the gym today for the first time in over a month. Took two weeks off becasue of a nagging elbow tendon, then i went on vacation, then I was just lazy all last week. Hope the tendon doesn't start bugging me again, I'm gonna work with low weight and work it up slowly.
 
about to sweat my nuts off running. who wants to come run in the F'n humidity with me?

Otherwise, I'm feeling cranky today....and bored....
 
I had a busy day. Worked in the hot sun at camp with 30 kids, went home, ran some errands, replaced my rear rotors, pads, and caliper brackets then I demolished my chest and bis. I'm tired.
 
Got into the gym to work chest today. Still not 100% over the flu, but I trained with about 80% of what I usually use and got a nice pump...so I am happy.

I drank my half gallon before and another half after. Still felt woozy so slowly had another half. guess the 2nd half was enough, later I was pissing like a statue in a fountain.

Bleh, I slowly ran 2 miles at 4 or so then ran my 1.5 that I need on the 30th at 10pm. Busted the 1.5 out around 13:30. Not the best, but that is under the qualifying time I need.

when you guys lift, what weight do you use for your warm up, and how do you step it up to your working weight? I've been having problems with my elbow tendons and i think a big part of it is warming up too heavy and bringing weight up too quickly.

I warm up very thoroughly. An example...for chest: I warm up my rotator cuff and my elbows using power bands first. Then I do some incline dumbell presses with 20lb dumbells, usually around 20 reps. After that, I stretch my chest, shoulders, and arms thoroughly. Then I do 10 reps with the 40s, followed by a set of 6 with the 60s. I do three reps with the 80's next. After that, I grab ahold of my working weight and begin my chest workout. Elbow tendon problems are what got me to take warming up more seriously: I was out of the gym for 6 weeks, then had to start back using 20lb dumbells...moving up by 5 or 10lbs only each week. I had to baby them back to health. Also: healing was almost non-existant until I started a regimen of low-dose Equipoise and collagen supplements, and Active Release treatments. Good luck with that, sorearms...elbow tendons are a bitch to heal.
 
I warm up slowly with light weight. especially on my squating days, I can easily spend 20-25 minutes warming up, but that also include 5-10 on the stair climber or bike.

I don't do much of a warm up for my back workouts, but chest I warm up completely. i've never pulled, torn, or injured a muscle before, I don't want to get one either.

Plus I get a helluva better workout if I do. But if I do, I warm up all muscles that are involved

ahhhh, awesome. I was just curious 'cause you seem to be at the beach a lot now it makes perfect sence :D
 
There's this Chinese girl close to my cubicle.... she's so hot that if I meet her I can't focus on my work for the next hour
 
I think I pulled or strained my left hammy today. I was doing 100meter sprints and on the second one ouch. Still kinda hurts now, it's been about 12 hours

I just got through with my morning cardio session and now I plan on sitting around and eating and scratching my backside till I have to go to work.
 
middle of the week...i love it...husband left a knife in the strainer pointing up with the other silverware....cut my damn hand, gonna kill him.............

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one---big hitter, the Lama---long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.
