i've been listening to his morning radio show to see what the big deal about it is. it sucks. he talks about the stupidest and pointless subjects out there. he is very slow. he says a few words, pauses for a couple of seconds, says a few more words, pauses again and so on. its as if he is in some type of medication thats clouding his mind and he cant think straight. or he just cant come up with something to say which is the reason he pauses. and then theres that female he works with. she has no mind of her own. whatever howard says is her law. truly a show for people with few brain cells

i dont mind listening to his show cause he gets good guests and when im at work i dont like to listen to music too early in the morning. just my opinion

She is bad, but not as bad as she used to be. That dude on Imus, Charles, is also yes-man, but again, for some reason not as bad lately. I enjoy Imus because of the funny new york-banter amongst themselves, and stern is okay on TV because of the hot babes and pushing the sexual envelope.

The show that I used to really enjoy in the morning while driving to work in DC was the Greaseman before he got canned.

holy shit the greaseman rocked! brings back memories of learning new masturbatory euphanisms from the radio and then sharing them with my buddies in middle school :)

His bits were awesome. I remember one when he showed up at some high school reunion that wasn't his, and scored with some chick who he convinced that he had been her old boyfriend.

howard stern is the best.

he spent about 20 minutes today telling ragging on dan marino because he never won a super bowl. You would never see anyone do that kind of stuff on any other show. They would all kiss marinos ass and tell him how great he is.

he jokes about racial and religious issues that NO other show touches. He isnt afraid of saying anything.

and ARTIE ROCKS!!!

I used to think when he was married etc., that his bits were very cheesy. Now that he isnt married and more relaxed and lives in Manhattan the shows has gone to more a "Talk show" format and not so much as trying to constantly create wacky bits

Howard Stern is awesome, people either love it or hate it. It's refreshing to hear a show that isn't politically correct.

Stern used to be the best out there, by far. His shows from the late eighties and eraly nineties were unbelievably funny and original. Even his most evoted and long time fans agree that after the movie "Private Parts", his divorce and the firing of head writer Jackie "The Jokeman" Martling his show has been rolling steadily downhill. Hes been on cruise control autopilot mode for years. Hes just going through the old motions, but its uninspired and unfunny now. What made Howard great was his inventiveness and his total disregard for boundaries. And he just isnt hungry anymore. But man oh man, his show was 5 hours a day of just funny funny shit. Amazing really, how he filled up so many hours with so many great bits and moments.

I like to hear about Artie gambling too much, eating too much, drinking too much, he goes overboard on everything. Bababooey's bad breath from the South Beach diet. I'm sick of the bimbo's, its enough with the strippers already, its boring, especially on the radio. Also I like when KC goes crazy.

Jackie the joke man was a tool of the greatest proportions. Artie lang is ten times as funny. The only people that found jackie funny were 60 year old horny men who liked jokes about farts.

When did you statrt listening to Stern?

A lot of what he does is just pointless but every once in a while he says something that is far beyond hilarious.

About two years ago he did a long bit about how Pakistani parents must really be able to control their children. “I can’t even get my kids to make their beds but they get theirs to blow themselves up!”

Then he did an impression of a Pakistani father lecturing his child on why he should blow himself up like any good kid should. Fucking hilarious.

His best bit was when he was making pretend how he served in Vietnam War. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breath and had to turn it off. He has his moments. There was at least a few times I almost crashed because I was laughing so hard while driving and listening to him.

Hard to find a good morning talker to listen to, so I usually go with music or Cspan Radio (simulcast of Washington Journal).

Listened to stern every morning this summer on my way to work... he was still pretty funny as far as i am concerned.

That's the great part about the show, kind of like house painting, you just put your mind in neutral, and don' t have to think for yourself, Stern does that for you.

God, that is so true. I started listenign to him in the early 90s and he was f-ing HYSTERICAL. I just don't think he is funny anymore - his show bores me now. Sucks, because I used to really dig him.
