How would you like to DIE

How would you like to DIE, when all is said and done, many of us don't like the thought of death, but we all know it is coming.


Thoughts Please

I will start, for me I would like to die by the age of 85 in my sleep, having lived a full rich rounded life.

Ooooo, I've already answered this one, but bears repeating:

Of a massive ruptured cerebral aneurysm, having just experienced earth shattering sex that included at least five multiple orgasms.

Nobody in my father's family made it past 62, and my mother's people are generally long lived but even SHE didn't make it past 67 (aneurysm) so I'm not thinking lifespan. It's about quality, anyway, not quantity, shit, look at people like Mozart (35), Poe (40), Chopin (39).

Dammit - I am older than all of them! :worried: I'd better get my ass in gear as I haven't BEGUN to do all the stuff I wanna do before my time is up.

To answer the quetion though, I will most likely go before 50. I am thinkin most likely esophageal cancer. From what I understand it ain't pleasant but at least it's quick.

Seeing as how I just turned 40 I REALLY better get to work! :lmao:

I am not 100% sure how I want to die but if it involves taking you down with me then it will be enjoyable.
 
Sure 85. Why not? I'd love to do it a short time after a huge milestone in my kid's or grandkids life where we all had a hugely fun time and I said to myself "Now I can die happy. I've truly lived and gotten everything I wanted to see." Then either in my sleep or something similar.

Not just for me, but for my kids and family to have closure as well, knowing I did do what I wanted and they enjoyed the time they had with me seeing them through their wedding or whatever it happened to be.

Then I'll leave them nothing in the will. It's all going to that crazy guy on the corner who washes wondshileds with rainwater and newspapers.

Even all my Microsoft.

I'd like to make it to at least 70, to see what being an old man is like. I'd feel robbed if I didn't live at least that long. And then I want to die, when I'm ready to die. When I'm tired of life and there's nothing left to motivate me. (Oh wait, fuck that shit, I feel that way now. LOL). I hope it's in my sleep while I'm having peaceful dreams.

My mother has had esophagul problems since she was 30. I can remember her bent over in pain many times. She had the surgery was not necessary and only makes things worse. Anyway, she's nearly 70 and has never developed cancer despite having severe heartburn for nearly 40 years.
 
I wouldn't mind dying young if it was saving someone's life. Other than that I want to make sure I get everything done I want to get done. I plan on living until I'm over 100.

meh. . .me too. . .i'd be surprised if i live much past 60. . .whatever does me in, it'll probably be something painful. . .and drawn out. . . i have no particular family history to point to. . .most of the people in my family tend to live a long time. . .and i'm pretty healthy. . .my bp is 115/70, my cholesterol is 165 (hdl is 106. . .yes. . .106), all of my organ functions are normal, and i keep myself in pretty good shape

You have a 106 hdl? And you take testosterone? Goes to show you it's mostly genetic. My hdl has never been higher than 32 and test has no effect on it.

how 'bout that shit? my doc says i belong in the guiness book. :)

you know what's really crazy? i eat tons of red meat, wings, bacon, eggs, cheese, nuts, butter, etc. if you truly live a high protein, moderate fat, low-carb diet, it really can be healthy. . .but you have to be diligent and you can't cheat much.

right now. . .nothing exogenous. . .however, i'm currently being evaluated by an endo for hrt. . .my understanding is that i'll be getting a scrip for ceep, h.g.h and a little d.e.ca (for my ailing knee joints) :)

As old as the hills!!! I want to be one of those rich Grand-Dads who all his grandchildren are banking on dying soon so they can have a deposit for their new house. Instead, I'm going to hang on for years!!!!!! I want to die when I'm about 90 and all my money has gone on giving me a comfortable retirement!
 
I want to die when I am 100...

in my penthouse overlooking the Gulf,

after taking a gorgeous sunset drive in my 500SL,

having a fabulous dinner and nice bottle of Crystal....

peacefully in my sleep and having my butler find me in the morning...

(my husband and I have to go at the same time though so we will need a carbon monoxide leak in our sleep to accomplish this ;)

I feel ya big time on this statement....

If only we could will all of our belongings to ourselves in our next life,

that would be sweet!
 
I'd want to go out fighting for something worth-while, endure torturing for a good cause or something like that.

I want to feel good about how I spent my life when I get to the end. But more than anything if I feel like something is being taken from me (my life), I'd like to have something to direct my anger/frustration towards. I just think it would be a lot easier to deal with mentally. I'm probably wrong though - dying is not my area of expertise.
 
I have absolutely no clue what the shit that first sentence even meant but this is a strong warning to never again use that word (or any others like it) on here. I recommend you listen.

i think i would like to fly too close to the sun and have my wings melt--either that or by hitting a tree in while skiing--that way they find me in the spring with a frozen "oh shit" look on my face
