i live in missouri, and i'm movie to washington state in 3 weeks, how would i have my car shipped there so i dont have to put 2000+ miles on it, i dont know were to start? who to call, who to talk to. i know i wont pay some crazy $1000 bucks or anything, and my brother is towing his car behind the RYDER truck....anyone know how i would do this or who to contact??

How are you moving your stuff? All moving companies will throw your car in a tractor trailer and ship it with your belongings.

I had a friend that bought a Corvette in Texas and had it shipped on a car carrier to NY and it cost him about $1800 bucks, though that was like 5 years ago.

Your best option (read: cheapest) is to put it on a flat bed behind a Ryder truck like you suggested.

Many snowbirds from NYC and Boston ship their car down here for the season. It never costs more than $300. Just request that your car is on the top rack. That way, no fucker stands on the hood of it.

That's a ridiculous price, what a ripp. I had my Porsche 911 shipped from the US to Poland for a mere 900 bucks. Took 3 weeks in a sea container. Then after the vacation shipped it back for another 900 bucks. So shipping it from Texas to NY for that price is a rip off like no rip off ever before.

holy shit, just tride shipmycar.com like $1100 to $1500 damn, i think i would rather pay $300 or so on gas and have an extra 200 miles on my car. any other cheaper ways to go? i always see mexicans towing cars on the highway!! LOL

You could drive you car is one option... unless you hate driving.

Or you could sell it and buy another one.

I would think that Ryder or UHaul would have some contacts of places that offer towing service. Can you call them and verify? Of you can pay a friend to drive it to you and then buy him a plane ticket back.

me and my brother our renting a ryder truck, he's renting a towing deal that get's all 4 of his wheels of the ground for his little bad ass GT mustang...so here's the deal, i dont mind to drive it....just looking into shipping it so i can save putting 2000+ miles on my car, and we both can ride in the ryder truck so we can go 24/7 he can sleep while i drive and the other way around.....i guess i will try ryder to see if they ship, thanks for the help BRO's

If Ryder doesn't do it, they may can put you in contact with someone that does...
