How was highschool back when you went?

yeah. back then it was all right. co '95. I wish I went back in the day when you could get in a fight and let bygones be bygones. instead of all this shooting shit. kids nowadays are fucking WIMPS. be a fucking man, fight if you have probs, and let that shit go. no need to bring in 50of your friends, and shoot up the place.

I hated high shcool. No friends, no sex, no fun.

I made up for up it during university. ;) Hell, I'm still making up for it. :D

SOME CHICK GOT KILLED (STABBED) AT MY HIGH SCHOOL. MY SCHOOL WAS ABOUT 75% BLACK SO IT WASNT THE SAFEST OF SCHOOLS. LOTS OF FIGHTS. WEAPONS WERE FOUND A FEW TIMES A YEAR. POLICE DOGS WERE BROUGHT IN EVERY SO OFTEN TO DO LOCKER SEARCHES. IT HAS GOTTEN A LOT BETTER SINCE I GRAD'D IN '96 THOUGH.

Shit,
I know this has nothing to do with me, but both of my parents went to Paterson High School. The one from the movie, Lean on Me with Morgan Freeman, but nobody fucked with them, cuz they are like mafia and shit

I graduated in 97. All was well. I enjoyed high school a lot. My sister graduated in 2000...she had "bomb threat" days. WTF?? We occasionally got a snow day, but we never got bomb threat days. I think that's sad.

I think all LA. High Schools are that way . . . . I know mine was.

I graduated it 1990 and the worst things that happened then were a couple of suicides, and the night before our senior prom one of our friends died in a motorcycle accident.

Although, I do remember in 11th grade there was a student that had his share of problems with drugs, alcohol, his parents and other students. He was back and forth between our high school and "Area," which was the school for kids with disciplinary parents. One day in Art class he showed me a gun he had hidden in his backpack that he said he had for protection. He never actually used it, but I remember feeling very strange about it at the time.

I graduated in 98, my sister is supposed to graduate this year. From what I hear from people who are still there the school is even more ghetto and there are fights there everyday. The security is a joke and couldnt fight their way out of a paper bag. Drugs are everywhere and Ebonics and Spanglish are now spoken more than english.

Back when I went to school we had to walk to school, in the rain, snow sleet, hail, etc..... uphill BOTH ways.

Problem with kids and society in general is they have no respect for authority or their peers and they want everything handed to them without a bit of work to EARN it.

It's not what can I do to get there that they ask......they ask what do I get?

BTW Class of '84
