Bro this is not a flame, you did the right thing by asking about it b4 you tried it,,, that said its young kids/ or younger adults who dive into somthing like insulin or try 200 mg of Dianabol - methandrostenolone - a day for a year ect. ect. that make big brother want to crack down so hard on steroids..
I know all the baseball shit didnt help the cause, but steroids taken when you are a little older and natty test is a lil lower and taken safe with all research done is not bad................... Its the 17 and 18 yr olds taking it not knowing what the hell there doing while still living at home probably,, and they hurt themselves and damage thier future..

DO NOT mess with insulin brother-- I know the pros are using it and even some of the bros on here, but it is so so so not worth the risk, ,, you only have your one pancreas {sp}

And if you still dont believe go out to lunch with a diabetic and watch them count every carb simple and complex then do some math and inject b4 they can even eat--- even a simple ricecake snake gotta inject-- I know first hand from family and i know i do not want to live that way------

Please be smart bro.. sorry so long a post but i really hope you rethink it...

that there should be enough to put anyone off insulin

Young man, are you really that hell bent on completely messing up your entire endocrine system?

Not only are you risking DEATH if you do not use insulin correctly, but you are risking inducing type II diabetes.

This is the tragedy of all of this.

I know of at least THREE female bodybuilders who completely changed their voices and faces to get a pro-card.

Since then they haven't competed, and they have all of those permanent changes.

I don't think they will ever compete again.

You haven't even done a show yet.

If you are taking things to such an extreme even before you put a foot on stage.........................

Getting to be a pro is only the first half of the equation.

In my opinion, you are really straying into the domains of body perception dysmorphia and big-o-rexia now.

Please just stop this madness.

Humalog is a faster acting form of insulin. Something i have not used before, since Humulin-R is OTC. Instead of waiting 10 minutes, I would ingest the carbs IMMEDIALTELY after the inject. Be careful, if you don't get the necessary carbs in your system following injection insulin shock can occur.

humalog comes in different splits, there is the straight old fashion humolog then 2 others that are basically the sust of insulin with both fast acting and slow release in one... just to clear that up.....

this will be the last time i will post on this thread brother, I just really hope you at least hold off b4 you try it study and research it..... going hypo would be the least of my worries, risking diabetis would be my #1 fear.. alot of people who do not have or know sombody that is close to them do not or can not understand what this disease does,, and yes it is a disease... some things to remember

1] when your blood suger goes too high or too low stress is placed on your organs esp. your kidneys

2]try to be a bodybuilder and go on a bulking cycle when you are limited to low carb foods even the healthy carbs are a no-no

3] also know that poor circulation and anyerisms especially in the eyes are common with diabeties

4] some diabetics only have to take pills, but trust me over time they will require insulin more often then not the humolog you spoke of

At your age stay away bro, not worth it,, now the advice to keep sugar handy if you go ahead and do it is good advice but guess what?? you may go into shock b4 you even get a chance to eat anything,,, I personally have had to sqirt cake iceing into someone i care fors mouth and try to hold them still and hope they swallowed it.. the person i speak of has testers for blood suger levels and has been taking insulin for about as long as you have been alive,, and it still happens ..

even with all precautions such as the blood sugar moniter sugar and candy on hand you could die and the 13-15 carbs for every unit is a ballpark number it is the average yes,,,, but a lot of people are higher or lower..
good luck bro i hope honestly you reconsider..

breagen--look at the creds of the two people above telling you not to go down the path you appear to be taking--if you are serious about what you say you cannot ignore that the most qualified people are telling you to stop.

People seem to think diabetes is not a problem because there are drugs.

Diabetes is a HIDEOUS disease.

People often suffer renal failure, and have to have dialysis, 4 hours a day, every two days.

You could have CAPD - continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, if you like injecting 10 L of hypertonic saline/glucose solution into your thoracic cavity every night.

They suffer from more infections, have to have feet and limbs cut off.

They go blind.

They are more prone to heart disease and cancer.

You want to risk inducing this, when insulin can so easily be manipulated with diet, and for a 'career' that may never happen.

You are 18, you could have another 60+ years in that body.

Take care of it.
