i get it dam bad under my armpits when i shave and it stays for a week or more, the thing is im going away this week and need to fix it,so any suggestions will be appreciated
are you being seious about rubbing acolohol or do you want get a good laugh when it burns like hell..i dont always get raiser burn but i usualy get like one or 2 bumps..still pretty ugly
over time your skin gets used to it and you will stop getting it. or just set fire to your skin periodically to remind you what real pain is. or sandpaper.
like buck said, I just clipper mind down and it gets nearly all of it.
i never used to get it...then i didnt shve for a year, and when i finally did i broke out in pimples....it was a delayed reaction, like 10hrs after i shave and i dousedmy skin in very high alcohol aftershave, so maybe it was an allergic reaction or something.
but i did find using alcohol or aftershave or TCP afterwards helped....u will get used to the stinging
I use the shit twice a week and it beats the hell out of a bunch of red dots all over the place! Pain is getting hit by a fucking airplane not a little stinging for a couple seconds.............bunch of girls
if I recall correctly the bumps are a combination of a small infection and/or ingrown hairs. I have no idea how the alcohol would help with ingrown hairs, but it likely staves off any infection caused by them.
I know that is why Nads is supposedly evil b/c it causes the infections and hence the bumps.
sure did for me and as a bonus it hurt like hell too.
Yes the alcohol works! I dont know why but people use it for that, i use it for that, and it does help ingrown hairs as well. Is it magic............time will tell
theres a british made invention soon to be developed
it uses inkjet technology (miniture hose ) to spray fine jets off water/lubricant on your skin and an oscillating razor blade to chop off the hair (similar to thouse cutting instruments made to oscillate by ultrasound exceptthis uses v.low frequency)....it cuts better than wet shaving and is machine powered and should stop all irritation...lets hope it gets on the shelves soon!
Witch Hazel does the same thing as alcohol (has alcohol in it)
but the witchhazel buffers the skin, makes it easier to take.
I use it a lot down here because the heat makes my skin oily.
WitchHazel is great for putting on a klenex or paper towel and "degreasing" your face.
It also comes in a container of pads, called Hazelletes.
this is kinda of a before measure, i used to always get razor burns on my stomach and chest but then i came up with this bright idea of using my Avita cream (prescription acne medication) since i don't have acne anymore for my razor burns, works great. Never get them anymore, maybe ask you doctor about it, just don't say it's for razor burns.
