how to fight muscle dismorphia

I still dont even like to wear short sleeves cause I'm not happy with my arms.

I avoid long sleeve shirts because they make my arms look even smaller

BigAndy, your dead on about the clothes to,one day I look great, next I am shit

So here I was 250 lbs at 24% bodyfat. I still felt small.....and worse, I felt fat at the same time.

This is where I am at now. Last your I started out the year at 135, I am now pushing 195. I definitly put on muscle, but a ton of fat too. I am afraid that if I lose weight, I will be weaker( I am closing on my goal of 270 max bench) and feel much smaller.

A lot of it has to do with clothing, beleive it or not.

Most of the shirts on the market are designed to make a man look thiner on top and some shirts just don't fit right on bodybuilders.

Also, some mirrors make you look smaller.

Some clothing lines look good and can accentuate your physique. Signum from Germany is my favorite, a little pricey, $100-185 per shirt but well worth every penny.

Pictures are a great way to keep track of progress.

i went nuts when my girl tried to get me to shop at stores like american eagle, abercrombie, and hollister. an extra large fits like an extra small. I avoid these places like the plague.

No kidding. I used to like abercrombie when they first opened. Remember when the had "The Big Shirt." Everything was huge. Now its like they make they to fit the crack heads who never eat. I tried on an extra large and ripped a sleeve off and then went up to the counter and asked if they had any jeans that didnt come already ruined with holes and such, and the girl told me she didnt think so. She didn't say anything about the shirt. She must have thought they started selling those that way too.
