How to "fake" high blood pressure for a short amount of time

ok...I didn't read every single post...
Ive had two babies early because of one preterm premature rupture of membranes and one regular old premature rupture of membranes
my oldest was 1 week 6 days "late" no one inducing me (bastards)
the afore mentioned babies wound up being inductions....
pitocin sucks...a lot (specially when the asshole nurse forgets about you and doesnt turn the shit up and your stuck turning it upyourself)
my advice is ...wait...
you get to 40 weeks and no dice? castor oil in root beer shook up works sometimes but carries its oown risks. The root beer covers the castor oil taste.
...It gives you the worst diarrhea ever...you won't need fiber for the next four years ...really..
and screw the narcotics, I had em with my first..I was so stoned I hardly remember anything (three days of labor does that too)
I had an epidural for the next two and the first epdiural totally totally mademe numb which sucked, the secondd I still had sensation with no pain.
My Dr on the other hand when she had her second had an epidural and got a spinal headache...nurses aren't apparently too prompt in listening to a dr tell them whats wrong w/ them either and she waited a day to get a blood patch for the headache
all in all...nothing works till theyre done baking and having an early baby is no fun at all and pretty scarey

I think the subject of this thread is amazingly irresponsible, and doesn't bode well for the next 18 years of parenthood.

Shut the fuck up. Until you carry a baby for 37 weeks then you can have an opinion like that. The weariness of women in the last couple of weeks is well known. I take offense to you calling my ability to be a mother into question. You lack character to make such a quick judgement about me

I'll admit that I lack good judgement for making a thread like this when I felt like I was at the end of my rope. I've carried my baby to TERM by the way. I dont see how a jog in the morning before I take a blood pressure reading would be any more irresponsible than taking castor oil , which I would never do. Women have elective inductions all the time. Im amazed at how quickly you've judged me in this way.

I keep forgetting im on a mens steroid forum, but for fucks sake.

Holy shit the sacrifices I've made for this child already, I just need some peace and some relief for my body.

Thanks for the post@! I wont be taking castor oil. Im too much of a pussy for that. I dont want to be in that state during labor - lol. But I would be afraid that the baby would also have the same effects and if it didnt work, the baby could get sick. EXTREMELY uncalled for. She wasn't going to do anything to actually induce high blood pressure and more than anything I think she needed a forum to vent her frustration at going past term. Until you carry a living breathing thing inside your body that fucks with you both physically and emotionally for nine months, you have no right to judge her.

Calling into question her ability to be a parent based on this thread is possibly one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen here, and that's really saying something considering some of the posters we have.

You're better than this, come on.

I wouldn't mess around with blue black cohoshes or anything like that either...
I think its all too much risk to be more comfortable but I totally feel your pain.
I was least happy pregnant woman ever....sooo so so ready to be done by the end.
The cool thing is after you get a new person and your instantly lighter taking a shower after is so amazing, I don't know how to describe it.
Take advantage of the nurses if you feel like you can trust them. My labor nurse the last time was a denizen of satan but the baby nurses were aboslutely awesome.
the baby will be here before you know it and you'll forget all about this misery

I dont see how any of this thread would make a person cast judgment on another persons parenting!!!

Cindy I recall my pregnancies. I was over due on every child and miserable. I tried everything from jogging, bouncing on a ball to make the child "drop" faster,to constant non stop sexuals. LOL It was horrible.

I ended up induced with every child. It was terrible.

I know it sucks for you right now. But keep in mind soon enough you will give birth!
