how to best use big blast?

so i was going to make my own blend (that was pretty badass) but it ended up being just about $90 for 5lb's! lmao i put a lot of good shit into it like that hydrolyzed whey, super bovine, dextrose, bcaa's... you know the works.

anyway since i obviously couldn't afford that i decided to just go with big blast cause i've heard good things.

so my question is, how do i use it to it's maximum potential? post workout? pre workout? morning/evening? anytime i want?

Good god, $90 for 5lbs, what did you do like 40% SPP, lol. I made my own customer using similar ratios as Big Blast and actually upped the SPP to 15% from 10% and dropped the Rilos by 5% and it worked out to be similar or cheaper. Anyway, to answer your question:

Definitely PWO
Sometimes I do pre-workout
Sometimes I do one before bed.

Depends on what you can afford and what your goals are too. Now I'm cutting and my carb intake is at or below 45g per day, so I only use it PWO.

get the big blast with all the extras and drink 1 as soon as you get up then eat 1/2 hour to 1 hour after every day then on training days drink one as soon as your training stops then eat again 1/2 hour later
 
Better to have the extra in the morning than before bed?

big blast is best used when your body is in need of nutrients. so definately yes. before bed is the most important time to eat real food. you are going to go 8hours before your next meal, i wouldnt waste that one on a shake. try steak, whole eggs and broccoli for a last meal.

I know this and yet it is the hardest time for me to eat real food. I work out in the evenings and I always have a whole dinner about 1hr after with a shake immediately following my workout. I'm starving about 9pm but "food" just doesn't appeal. I usually reach for a big shake at this point instead. I get my worst cravings for junk at that time of day. The shake usually satisfies that.

the one i made had a lot of that super bovine stuff and dextrose. hydrolyzed whey too along with some other stuff... it was crazy expensive lol. i might make my own again going on the big blast ratios as a base.

get up and eat.

i always broke my sleap into 2 sessons for that reason and a more steady flow of energy. there was nothing better than a hard w/o imediately followed by a big blast then 1/2 hour later a steak, sweat potato, broccoli meal 50mg dbol then a 4 hour sleap. i always woke up fealing like i gained in that 4 hours
 
SICK! Yeah I really do eat virtually every two hours of my life, and I don't want to be eating cereal cause it's the only thing that sounds good and It's always easy. I ran out of protein and I will be getting that at the end of the month.

hafrd boiled eggs would be perfect for that time. way better than a shake.

Seriously, ever since I was 4 I think, i would literally wake up every two hours and eat, and it was usually cereal and it's continued. Now(Before my diet changes) I just eat like six bowls of cereal or like 4 or 5 PB &J sandwhiches each time I wake up. It's only cause I'm hungry not cause I need to pee. So it's touch while on calorie restricted diets....just a diet for that matter!
 
no problem. never just eat carbs always eat protein with them and always eat fats except for post w/o
 
Yeah I used to do that, but I only eat protein if I have to eat, well protein and sometimes spinach with it too!
 
Personally, I can't eat protein late at night. It lays on my stomach. I actually crave cookies and milk! :mix: Having a shake satisfies that urge and is easier to digest.
 
I hear ya on the cookies thing! I hate when ya come home and there are fresh brownies or Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies on the counter.....oh god I hate that.....

Be careful when making a custom blend. Hydro whey and SPP taste like hobo asshole and are hard to flavor. I'd hate to see you stuck with five pounds of undrinkible protein.

Yeah my thoughts exactly, the SPP is a very fine almost unmixable powder. Pure SPP just clumps when mixed in anything but a blender. Too much of that stuff would make a horrible drink. I would still with the Big Blast ratios or just up SPP by 5%, I wouldn't go over 15% on SPP in total

This is my point exactly! If throw some ANPB in there it's right up there with chocolate chip cookies in my mind! LOL
 
to the guys adding spp to your shakes. i fount id better for me to not add any to the bb but to buy raw spp and mix 1 spoonful 5g with either apple sauce or honey and just swallow it. it works great post w/o. you get 5g of spp 1 mouthful. if you do it with honey it works better.

True. I used the best tasting whey along with the SPP to get a balance that wasn;t too bitter. ALong with the dextrose it's a really nice taste. It'd be a shame to ruin a good taste by cheating with more of something that will upset the flavor.

This is one of the reasons we came up with GEAR. There was no way this stuff was going to edible. It HAD to be in a capsule. But it's far more concentrated than anything you can get in any other protein source.

Of BIG BLAST? I think the tropical orange with juice and double chocolate with whole milk are awesome.

The tropical punch makes a nice smottie when mixed with cranberry juice and frozen mixed berries.

The banana with a fresh banana is killer too.

Some like the vanilla but I'm not much of a vanilla guy. The only vanilla flavor I like is a Mister Softee vanilla ice cream cone , but I don't think that builds much muscle. :)
 
Nelson, is there anyway you can make a flavor that tastes just like a reeces peanut butter cups? Cause I pretty much crave that all damn day! if Not just something peanut buttery....just a thought...

Sure. Use the chocolate and add a clump of peanut butter!
