Hey guys and gals,
Before I ask my question, let me give you a little background. I'm 5'11, about 185 and I think about 14% right now. I've been dieting severly for about a month and a week with nothing but steak and steak sauce (thank god for that sauce!). It's gotten to the point where I have zero cravings, and I'm actually enjoying the diet! I figure my body has adjusted to what it's eating, I never lack for energy, I'm rarely depressed, and I feel decently strong still in the gym. I figure I'm going to do this for another month or two before I give it up. My abs are starting to come in, and I've only been able to see them better than this once in my life.
So it's just such a great feeling to be moving in the right direction (I think this is another reason why it's not hard to diet like this anymore).
My worry is when I finish, I need to get my leptin levels regulated. I've read a lot about how you get fat off of yo-yo dieting because you're leptin levels are out of wack, and you don't burn fat like you should. Now I'm thinking that when I get back to normal I'll pull in carbs slowly, with no fat. I'm thinking it's best to go with low GI carbs so they don't get transfered to fat, due to my whacked out leptin levels I'd probably store more than I usually would.
My main reason for worry is when I got the leanest I've ever been, it was really easy to put on fat after that. I've learned a lot from that experience, so I know I can avoid some of the mistakes. But I'm still concerned, and want to ramp up my levels to normal so I don't just explode with fat.
Anyway, I'd love to hear some experiences and advice.
Thanks folks.
