How Safe Is It To Order Gear From Overseas?

Hey! I use to post under a different name on this board and it has been a long time since i used gear. I want to order from this source from overseas. I want to know if it is safer or more dangerous today to order gear from overseas? I happen to live in NYC. And if u live in NYC and order gear please email me. I was thinking since there is so much more security due to terror theat that i was wondering if this has made it more risky to order gear overseas? Please let me know.

You always risk your package getting siezed by customs, or even a controlled delivery. Whenever possible, stay domestic.

Are they flagged?
How well do they package?
How much you order at time.

There is always risk and it increases with customs.

depends on the country of origin, the size of package, customs port where good enter, method of shipping (ex: ups, ems, dhl, etc etc) and a bunch other factors.

overall, if your source knows his shit, its safe.
but of course nothing is safer than goin domestic.
