how much weight the first week?

When you switch from bulking to cutting, how much is it OK to lose the first week or two? I know that 2 lbs/week is the general limit without losing too much muscle, but I heard that the first week people generally lose a lot more. How much is OK to lose the first week, before worrying that they are "overdieting?" I have been eating a LOT lately, so as my intestines empty and my water retention goes down, I expect to lose a good bit, but how much is reasonable?
 
i tend to loose a whole lot of weigth the first week and a half, its mainly water weigth that i lose extra. That first period i tend to lose about 4.5 pounds something like that, cant remember correctly. :p aint i stupid :D
 
not only do you lose water weight but the amount of food in your intestine at any given time is less. I know I usually way a difference of 3Ibs just over night because I have less food in my intestine the next day as compared to the previous bulking amount.
 
So, basically, you start your cutting diet, but don't worry about the weight loss the first week or two? After that, if you are losing more than 2 lbs/week, you know you should up your calories a bit?
