how much weight in muscle

Does anyone know on AVERAGE how much weight muscle you can gain working out your upper body alone?..if not your whole body.. per year
along with a proper diet and suppliments to help you along..all natural.. with no help from gear

AND, how much per year with the help of gear

there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to gain 100lbs of muscle weight in your upper body, all natural, in one year.

nah, Im just playing. there is no way for someone to predict how much you can gain.

Why would you want to work just your upper body? The body is a complete system and is best stimulated as such.Movements such as deadlifts and squats are indespensable when it comes to increasing overall body musclature. For the entire body I think a novice teen/young man could gain perhaps 40-50lb of fairly lean mass in a year provided they ate like monsters and busted ass on the compound lifts.Mark Rippetoe,a well known strenght coach gets about 30lb on kids in about 4months,granted he makes them drink a gallon of milk a day and squat 3 times a week. Here is an interview.

But these figures will differ vastly due to the number of variables involved.Age,genetics, diet, training regime(many people screw up here),amount of rest and finally motivation all play a crucial role in how much muscle one can add to their body.Steriods of course will aid in this endevour, but the above factors still need to be considered and anabolics used without a grasp of basic diet/training principles will yeild sub-optimal results.

Hope it helps :)

Your trouble, Illuminati, the one thing that holds you back, is your inability to dream big. These miniscule thoughts are holding you captive and binding you from your true potential. You must think BIG to succeed.

Stop holding yourself back, man.
