How much sleep do my kids need?

In case you do not know, I have 2 children. My oldest is almost 12 and my youngest is a little over a year old. They are wonderful and make me smile all the time. Problem is...they sleep all the dang time. I can't figure this out. They sleep in the strangest positions too. I took a pic of each of them while they were asleep the other night so that everyone could see how they sleep and maybe you could give me some advice.

Thanks

my little one.

Dogs sleep an average of 12 - 14 hours a day.

Cats are up to 20 hours a day.

I thought my dog, a Jack Russle/Rat Terrior mix (I think that's what he is from looking at pictures, I adopted him from the SPCA the day before they were gonna gas him) was sleeping too much. He's a house dog, and doesn't get a whole lot of exercise. We let him out periodically througout the day, but I thought if he got more exercise, he might be more active. I started to take him jogging with me 2 times a week, and he just started sleeping even more. Really, what else is he supposed to do, I suppose it get's very boring inside.

I wish there was a way to put a doggie door on a glass door. Anyone know if you can?

yes you can put a doggy door on glass, but I dont think that would be the best idea...How thick is the glass, cause you would run a risk that if a dog bumps into it trying to get in or out too fast they could break the glass
