How much rest do u usually take between sets???

Depends on what exercises for me.
For bench, squats and deads i take as much as 5 mins...but for dips, curls, pulldowns ect i take anywhere between 2 and 4.
It depends on how fucked i am that day..or carbs intake.
 
I superset between bodyparts with around a minutes rest between, so its a minute between sets, but 2 1/2 - 3 minutes between sets for each particular bodypart
 
It all matters what my goal is. Cutting or endurance 30 seconds to a minute, if going heavy and for size 3 or 4 minutes.
 
when i go heavy on bench i wait as long as 5 min..most of the time though i go from 1-2 minutes on everything..........
 
I usually take around 1-3 minutes... on almost all exercises maybe less on calves or forearms or abs.. but usually around 2 minutes I would say.

Depends on the day and the training mode I am in. During a light phase I take short rests 1-2min. During heavy phse especially if maxing long rests 3-10min. Just depends on how heavy I am going and what phase of training I am in.
 
usually 1min at the most, I like to keep my heart rate up...if I'm going real heavy, a little longer, but until I feel mentally ready...
 
Usually 2 minutes, for arms around 90 seconds (I alternate between bi and tri sets). For heavy leg work, I'll go 3 - 3 1/2 minutes.
 
i also wait until breathing is back to normal. for a real heavy set of squats it may be a couple minutes
 
I usually take a swig of water, and then wait for my breathing to return to normal, which is usually 1-3 minutes, depending on what I'm doing
 
Depends...

I go between 10 seconds and 20 seconds for bi's (Mohahaha!), and 40 seconds for bench press and the bigger excercises. Crunches 10 seconds hehe.

BUT, I tend to spend allot of time chatting between excercies and usually spend about 6 mins just talking in between excercises! I work on... a huge pump, mild stroke and then recover, get up and go again! :P

Sounds like you need a new training partner...or a pin for that inflated head of yours ! :D

Seriously though, I don't mind working in with people that are using much less weight than I because it gies me a chance to catch my breath!

For the record I'd say 1-3 minutes, depending on the exercise. Lately I have been getting over the ego thing of not being able to get as much weight/as many reps with a short rest.

I'll take 3 when I get heavy on deads, but otherwise I like 1-2 minutes. My BP suffers even when I am lifting on heavy days if I go more than 90 seconds.
