how much protein?

I've read up that it's generally reccomended to eat 1.5g of protein per lbs of lean body weight
This i assume applies to someone who wants to preserve/gain muscle

What if i wanna preserve muscle but im not into weights so much and am a martial artist who trains about 14 hours a week?
Would my protein needs be higher or lower than 1.5g per lbs?

i dont think your muscle breakdown would be as high as someone who lifts weights, so it wouldnt need to be higher than 1.5...but during cardio if you dont have enough protein, your body will feed off your muscle, so it will be very important for you doing what you do as im sure you burn lots of calories...
