How much is too much sodium?

I bought some chicken breasts at the super market and I was just going over the food facts. Each piece is roughly 100g and has 15g protein 0.2 carbs, 100 calories but has 397mg of Sodium. Isn't this too high especially when I eat three pieces after a workout with some rice?
Thats about 1190mg of sodium for 300g of chicken. Is it me or is this too high for chicken? I am cutting up so will this affect my diet? Thanks!
 
It shouldn't affect your diet. Make sure you drink lots of water.

In future you might want to buy 'natural' chicken breasts since they are actually very low in sodium and high in potassium. I'd say they may have added salt to 'plump' the breasts up with water so they weigh more.....basically a rip-off. I say this because their protein content is also on the low side. Should be closer to 25 grams per 100g of unadulterated chicken breast.
