how much is a hair implant procedure?

I'd be pretty sketched about that procedure!! I'd rather go a lil bald an buzz my hair than come out with that weird plug look that you can see on cheap halloween masks!! unless it really f'n good I wouldn't do it, and I'd wanna see first hand... up close an personal inspection of a completed procedure before doing anything like that!! anyways if you find any good links on it with good pics post up, I'm curious to see what they can do these days!! as I may be a candidate in the upcoming years!!

you ever ran growth? i know a guy who was completely bald and his hair is growing baack after runing growth for a few months
I have been using Nioxin for about a month now and I have gained a few strands back in the front of my head. My gf is a hair stylist and claims that it can really bring back the hair...we shall see!

yo my dad just went to India and had something like 20,000 (!!!!!holy fucking shit!!!!) hairs pulled from around his body and replanted on his head. Fucking amazing....the whole process was literally torture and he came home BUGGED. He's a crazy Irishman from da boogie down bronx and he was BUGGIN when he got off that plane. Honestly, he needed a shrink, but all he opted for was me and my bro's kind words. Anyway, the shit is actually fucking growing! It's still on the short side, and needs to go a year to toughen up and get fuller, but it's acting a a hair follicle should. He was bald all up top but has hair on the sides. Now he has a hairline in the front and hair around on top. It's still early, but it doesn't look like it will even look like mine..but a VAST improvement. Shit was pricy as hell....I think he said he paid $40K ??? He could be pushing a brand new Bimmer for that. I guess there is no price on vanity...
That is a BHT procedure (Body Hair Transplant). They are pricey are they are cutting edge and still in it's infancy.
FUE procedures take one follicle at a time from the donor supply at the back of the nead and plant ontop. This leaves no visible scaring and heals in a few days but costs between $5 in India (only one decent doctor there), to around $8-$16 in the USA/ Canada/ Oz.
Strip procedure is where they cut a "strip" of skin out the back of the head ear to ear and stretch the skin back together to produce a thin scar. The follicles are then cut out of the strip and placed ontop of the scalp. This is the cheapest but most traumatic although results from good surgeons are excellent and the scars can be fine and hidden by the hair.
Check out the respected doctors (there aren't many) and stay away from the big budget advertising hair mills. Just because they are on TV doesn't mean they are the best and are usually far more expensive with varying results.
Checkout Hasson & Wong (Canada) , Dr. Cole (Atlanta), Dr Feller (NYC), Dr Alvi Armani (Toronto), Dr Rahal (Canada), Dr Bernstein (NYC), Dr Woods (Australia).
I've been round the block so I know who's good and who's not and you'll quickly realise from research that there are only around 5 - 10 world leading HT surgeons but they don't cost any more than the cowboys. It's a minefield but if you find a good doc the results can be excellent and relatively cheap.
Google is your friend and research is soooooo important. Check out the hairloss forums (hairlosshelp.com is a good unbiased one) but if you need any more details PM me.
