how much gear for customs to set up a sting?

I'm curious to know how much gear it would take for customs to set up a controlled delivery (sting operation) to your house. I'm wondering if a small amount could do it or does it take a shit load of gear??

Im sure they wouldnt throw up a fuss over a couple amps and/or tabs, i would think it would take a substantial amount to cause such an action.... But then again it depends on how busy they are, probably, lol... No clue for sure tho..

A buddy of mine was set up for 40 amps. It ended up costing him over $10,000. It was sent domestically as well.

From what I hear, you have a better chance of getting a "controlled delivery" if you live in a small town, because the Customs service will call the locals and ask them if they want to do anything about the "problem". If it is a smalltown Police force, then they are just itching to do something other than sit in the local diner drinking coffee, or writing out traffic citations, and thus your chances of getting popped are higher even if it IS a small amount. Then again, there are other times when the order is so small that Customs just takes it & sends a letter, and wont bother to call the locals. I guess, it depends on the Customs area & agent is what Im getting at.

4 vials is nothing..... they wont move for such a small amount. Let's say 20-30 vials is a bit more dangerous....

A buddy of his sent some amps domestically to him. The feds had talked to a nearby neighbor and they and their kids where playing ball whenever my buddy went into the house. The package had his name on it and it required a signature. His girlfriend had already signed for it, but they knew it wasn't hers. Whenever he came in the house, they knocked on the door. They already knew what was in the package. That was about 3 yrs ago. He probaly could have gotten out of it if he had refused the package, but then his buddy would have gotten the rap for it.
