How much does a cleaning cost (a dentist question)

Insurance = usually ends up costing you nothing or no more than $20 copay. (if that much)

Otherwise, the cleaning itself is going to be about $75-$100 generally. If you have never been to a dentist before, they are going to do xrays and such, which will be an extra charge.

^^^ Yep, same for me and we're in different states.

IMHO, suck it up and lay out the money for two annual cleanings, seriously. If you have even halfway decent genetics and brush and floss and get regular GOOD cleanings (that's up to the hygienst, if you don't bleed they didn't do it right, I shit you not) then you probably can avoid the other expenses of dentistry. The only times I've ever gotten cavities in my life was when I wasn't able to get professional cleanings for a few years at a time.
