How much do you pay on your rent?

total is $2280, but I don't pay it all.

I live with two other guys; each one of us pays $268 + $150 in utilities (oil, electric, cable) each month. It's a great price for our place at Uconn.

Hello

$630 + $188 utilities = $818 between 2 of us.

My roommate is moving out soon, so that's going to be on me for next year :worried:

$760 plus utilities. I got lucky to find a quiet place with off - street parking. I might buy someday but the time is not right.

320 euros = 385 dollars

I find it too much and will get a 250 euro room next year.

I HATE renting. I can´t wait till I can buy own place. however small.

Are there singles who pay like 1500-2000 here?

I think they´re insane.
$1,500 to $2,000 is cheap in New York, I've heard.

you only pay 950 and you live somewhere in downtown san diego.
You posted a pic of your place before and that doesn't look like a 950 townhouse. Not unless that's not really your place. :verygood:

Ours is paid for.

We owe on some electrical appliances, pay utilities, water, trash, telephone.

Nothing...I'm a "kept woman"...LOL. I'm pretty sure that my fiance's house is paid for. When I lived in Cincinnati, I paid $1300/mo in rent.

Ok ...after reading this .. I pay WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY toooo much

but its a mortgage

I pay less for my house than I paid for my apartment. I still can't believe I found this house. 2 years of gutting and it's like I live in a damn castle. $730 a month. ;)

Are you in St P???

I would think larger cities would have more opportunities for fix-r-up deals

Indeed I'm in St Paul. My house was totally liveable. There was nothing wrong with it if you liked the 1974 look. lol Now it's amazing and beautiful. OMG I'm going to make buckets of money selling this place...but I'm in no rush to because it's so cheap.

Yeah...I would love to go thru downtown, gut, and remodel many of the older brick buildings. I was looking at where homes near the old railroads thru town were undervalued. The Neighborhood Development Program became a national model for redevelopment.....

St. P must have alot of great deals. In ten years, Minneapolis will be second-rate to St P.

Each city has such a different vibe...and it also depends on where you live in each. St Paul tends to be a little cheaper. Quite a bit of Mpls is pricier to live in...especially anything that's riverfront.

I have a big yard though for living in the city and 4 empty lots next door. A business up the street had bought them to make a parking lot but the residents had it rezoned residential single family....so the business is just hanging onto it. That big open area is why I get a lot of kids fucking around at the end of my street late at night. But it's awesome to have all that room to run around with the dogs.

mortgage payment is 450.. got lucky with my house.. its only 10yrs old, and on close to an acre of land. Fairly new, new paint and flooring.. but in the country, only downfall. But hell of a cheap payment.. my rent before was more.

450!!!! i am moving to your state!

if you don't mind

My buddy has an apartment right downtown chicago on division street. It's a one bedroom, little ass studio apt. for $700 a month. That's do-able.

HAHA you all pay peanuts compared to the prices here in NYC. Even here in my neighborhood you'll be lucky to find a 1 bedroom for under $1500... 2-3 bedrooms youre looking at $2000+. Hell.... wanna buy an apartment? $350,000-500,000 for 1 bedrooms... up to 900,000 for a 2-3 bedroom.

Thank god I like for free with my rents. LOL

Zero! A company pays for my rent and electricity at the moment. I pay off a mortgage but the property is rented so that covers the payments.

My one bedroom apt was $1500.......................but fuck it, i just bought a house........was a fixer upper but a whole lot of $$$$ did the trick and breathed good life back into it.....

Multi-family house.....................now i live in a 4 bedroom duplex (upper 2 floors) and rent the lower 2 floors out...............got a backyard, frontyard and 2 garages..........life is good now.

Mortgage is $3400 though, and then there is property tax and utilities, but my tenants take most of the load off of me :)

$3200/month for the penthouse. Money well spent.

almost 40 grand a year and no equity to show? doesnt sound like it...if you own it's another story.

btw some of you guys are making me want to move lol. some of your mortgage payments are lower than my maintanence fees every month...

plus a 2 grand mortgage payment (that's with me doing my own mortgage), and 6 grand + in RE taxes a year. :(

still cheaper than NY though, so not too bad
