How much cardio while still gaining

Well, how much cardio can I do without losing or maintaining my muscle mass?

I was in Cross Country so I used to put on about 35 miles week and now I'm lifting on Mon,Wed, and Fri. And I want to run in the mornings, I can do runs as long as possible. Now, how much can I do while still gaining some muscle from my workouts. I take whey each morning, and 2 servings after workouts. I was thinking of running 2 miles each morning Mon - Fri . What do you guys think? I want to get tone and gain some, no fat acceptable. Thanks for the help.

to be honest with you if you want msucle you have to eat high clean calories 4k-5ked and keep cardio to minimum , mon to fri is too much imo

Okay, So I was thinking on Tues and Thurs. I run 4 miles in the morning. And yeah, hope this works...thanks for the help.
 
if you arent gaining with the running, you just would need to up the cals or get rid of the cardio. its pretty simple..as long as you can physically eat enough food to make up for the extra activity
 
I was a mere 150 and doing daily cardio....NOW, my cardio consist of walking to the car...honestly, I'm 185 now sure I got more bf, but I'm stronger...I spun my wheels for too long...I know when I hit 220, all I got to do is tighted up the diet and start 7x a week cardio and I'll be shredded in no time.....I can still see my obliques and abs faintly, when they are totally gone, maybe it's time to rethink.....but no belly = no problem!
 
Off subject, but isn't sex like the best cardio? not just in the enjoyment aspect but it's just the best form of cardio. I heard it somewhere...don't quiet remember where.
 
i've heard that too. but i really don't know what the average sex session should last, what your heart rate would be, how many cals you burn etc.

Geting back to thread, "vets" even if i lift like a MF can't i get a middle section by eating 4000cal w/o cardio. Or are you sugesting bulking then cutting.
