How much cardio in a bulk

I am 5'6 male, 8% body fat and weigh 65 kg who has only been doing weights fo 3 months, but wants to increase muscle mass to about 72kg and hopefully remain or get back to similar body fat.

Because I play competition tennis (not at an elite level but at a reasonable standard), I have for years run 12km 5 times per week and consume about 4000 calories is my maintenance diet.

I realise to bulk, I will have to reduce my running but can I run or do any cardio at all? Would three 25 minute runs per week be OK? Should I change to cycling.

Could I keep cardio and just increase my calories to 5000?

If you've been running that much at 4k calories per day, you can run the same amount at 5k cals/day and expect to see around 2lbs a week to start, then just adjust accordingly.

However, your strength/muscle mass won't increase as fast as if you were just doing 5k cals/day without cardio.

I say keep the cardio up, but cut it back to half of what you do now. Throw some sprints in to keep it difficult. You need to keep the cardio for tennins playing, but cutting back will allow you to gain more strength and size.
