How much can you tell your doctor????

Well, for one, your insurance company has access to all of these 'confidential' notes. They can term it anything they want. There have been more than a few posts from guys that now either can't get medical insurance, or pay through the nose because they are in a 'high-risk' group. All because 'steroid user' was put down in these notes. And that is legal.

I would only tell him the minimum. You can do your own research after that. You can get the numbers from the tests and make your own conclusions of whether or not you are doing ok. Is this playing doctor? I guess. But I think 'playing' doctor is having a PhD and not realizing all the benefits steroid use conveys.

My grandfather right now is having problems recovering. He has no appetite, he is slightly depressed, has no energy, etc. Hmmmmm, I wonder what could help him out? I mean, all of these symptoms sound like low test levels. But that can't be, he is only 84 years old. I could fix his wagon in 10 days with very mild doses of test. But this is not even an option for his doctors.

Chances are he cant help you out if he dosent know whats going on, or miss diagnois you and make your problem wores, be truthful:D

I don't have time to educate someone who refuses to listen to me. I also do not have the time to make it a full-time job to find the proverbial needle in the haystack, a doctor who will listen.

I give my doctors orders and expect them to be followed. That is the only good they are to me. If I find one who can think, my attitude will change. One of my best friends is a doctor, and I just get pissed when I hear him sometimes. He refuses to listen, and has already made up his mind on several issues relating to medicine.

Hey, tell them whatever you want, but do not think for one instance these people are your friends or are there to help you.

I am intelligent enough to make my own decisions, and I will refuse to be spoken to like a child. I had one doctor try to give my mom medicine both she and I thought was dangerous to her health. The doctor just laughed it off. We requested a different med. No dice. So, I told my mom just tell them you are allergic. She did. They got pissed like you can't believe, but they did not give her the meds she did not want.

Fuck that. I pay them, they work for me. They are order takers and need to take my orders. I have given up on trying to tell them the reasons why.

last time i said anything to my doctor about doing AS he proceded to reem my ass about doing them...."its bad...it will kill you...it will castrate you...ETC."
i have never said anything since....i think it more of a pain in the ass to tell them than it is to stick 3cc of sus in there :D

Thanks for all the imput, I'd really like to know if insurance companies have complete access to your medical records. Has anyone else had any relevant experiences, I'm Bumping it up.....

I'd be concerned that this info will be written in the chart and the insurance company will end up with this information forever.. If/when I tell my doctor I'll ask him not to write it down.. he works out in my gym and is kind of chummy with some of the bigger guys.. seems to have made an awefull lot of gains recently himself.. I wouldn't be suprised to learn that he's using too..

Funny shit bro. I think I am going to say just for the hell of it next time I go. Man, doc you took so long last time I was here I took a 100 3cc 1 1/2" pins that teach your over educated ass to make me wait again. Funny funny shit bro. :D

I recently posted about what happened to a friend of mine after he told his doc about his AS use. He's self-employed, so when he got his med ins premium it nearly doubled (to about $10k/yr). That's a lot of cash, and he doesn't expect his rate to go down in the near future. I would be interested to know what would happen if he worked for somebody else and was included in a group plan. If his rates went up, surely the employer would want to know why, even though they couldn't ask legally (I think). In any case, the less attention the better, I wouldn't tell a doc unless absolutely necessary.
