How much are u supposed to bleed

I always aspirate to make sure I;m not drawing up blood, but regardless it seems as though each time I inject, the amount I bleed differs, sometimes none, sometimes quite the trickle comes out for a few seconds..whats normal?

Don't worry about it. A little drop or trickle is normal. As long as you do not get a foot long stream when you pull out you are fine.

As long as you aspirate first you're fine. Sometimes you pass through a big vein and get alot of blood.

I've had the stream shoot across the room a couple of times.
Alot of deep purple blood.

The first time I was sure I had killed myself!!

The first time i saw that stream of blood shoot from my friends thigh i got just a little intimidated. Then i inspected his thigh and noticed that he had a lot of blood vessels right under his skin. Must have pierced one of them. Next time he was more carefull and it never happened again.
