Why wouldn't it be true. I'm not saying that certain people don't have 3 or 4 "true" friends. I'm saying that a lot of people think they have true friends but in reality they don't.Becoming said:I don't think this is necessarily true.
One example: Before my girlfriend and I had a child she always hung out with her "true" friend. I asked her if she really trusted her friend in everything. My girlfriend said, "Of course! She is so good to me, blah blah, she would never do anything to hurt me, blah blah..." Well, now that we have a son my girlfriend can't go out and party with her "true" friend like she used to. Needless to say, her friend isn't interested in spending time with us and my girlfriend is always crying to me about how hurt she is, blah blah...
Most people put WAAAAY too much trust in their friends and get hurt. People are people. People change. That doesn't mean they are bad people but I believe a true friend will be there with you through just about anything.
