For the people who don't know what this thread is about, its about my deadlift. I was going to try for a 1RM today but my weights still haven't arrived in store. I only have 355lbs and that was my previous 1RM 7 weeks ago (so those people who voted 0 are already wrong, because I haven't gone backwards!).
 
He's probably going to pull the first rep, and accidentally power clean it.....
 
You should get 5 reps. Any less would be disappointing, I think.
 
Pre-workout meal was some whole wheat bread, tuna, an apple and a museli bar.

I am now sipping on some VERY VERY strong coffee, even by my screwed up standards and caffiene tolerance, this will get me racing.

Thanks :) I'm still angry about not being able to go for a proper 1RM though. I may've had another 1-2 reps in me if it weren't for my nose bleeding and some lingering indoor soccer soreness, but that's really irrelevant because I didn't produce them.

Good job. If you would squat down more and drive with your legs you would blast up in weight! Kicks ass for stiff legged deadlifts though!! Nice!!
 
Holy crap that has to be the worst form I have ever seen!

Once you get that down 450, even 500 won't be a problem.

Good job, not trying to flame, just marvelling.

I haven't done much full conentional deadlifting (mainly SLDs, snatch-grip and rack deads) and need to practice my form, without a doubt :)
 
yeah that'll so that for you. since the negative and positive are so different, form goes out the window on multiple-rep sets.

First of all you need to get your butt down. as far as you can get it basically.

then when you are doing multiple reps, treat it like a series of singles. reset after every rep. I just started doing this and it works great. kind of time consuming and hard but you will reap the benefits.
 
I say 6. 6 reps you`ll get, I just have a feeling.


what? WHAT? OK I`m late. good work you`re stronger than you think when you get the form right ...
