How Many People Grunt...

You probably lift more than I do. I say if you're a woman and you're bencing more than 135, squatting over 185 or deadlifting over 225, grunting is expected.

I grunt only when lifting extremely heavy. I'll even give out a big "Fuuuuccckkkkk!!!!!" if I'm really pushing my limit. But I dont do it for the attention. I already draw attention to myself being one of the only girls in the free weight room.

I've seen only four women at the gym I go to. None of them is afraid of going red in the face and making noises and I've seen three of them deadlifting no-nonsense weights. It makes a refreshing change.
 
I didn't use to. Not sure now as my headphones are cranked up so loud that I can't heard a work people say to me and I am pretty sure I'm yelling when I ask someone if they are done with something. Fuck em. Headphones= no one bothers me.
 
I'm not a big fan of grunting at the gym. Its like dropping the weights after the set. I hate that too. Oh...and Phillipino people..

I absolutely despise people who make me take off my headphones to ask me questions. I wear them so I can concentrate on me...NOT YOU!!! ;)

I grunt when pushing heavy weight.

1 of the bodybuilders at my gym tells me I distract him from his workout, when I'm training heavy. lol

when it starts getting to heavy weights I'll grunt and growl a little. But when it gets heavy on the deadlifts I yell out. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! When we do deads all you hear is screaming and plates jingling.
 
Oh shit. more people than I thought would be grunters. lol it's apparent that grunting is frowned upon in gyms these days. I would'nt know, I lift at home and grunt to my hearts content. lol

I would of course try and curb it if I were out in public gyms, but grunting is second nature to me. It gets my adrenalin going when I do it.

I get a kick out of the guys who sort of squeal like a little bitch when they lift. Not sure what that's all about but it isn't impressin the girls.

Lol we have a few squealers. Usually when doing warmup leg extensions or DB preacher curls.
 
I grunt when on my last rep or 2 of an exercise. Depending on what it is, sometimes louder than others.
My wife stopped lifting weights, because we lift at home together & she says it scares her, my face & noises. :lmao:
Sometimes I fart too. :evil:

LOL.....don't even pick it up if you have to drop it. Weaklings.

I actually really like phillipinos....I think everyone should own one.

LOL I was doing incline presses one satuday morning and there were three heavy set older ladies working out. After my second set of moaning and groaning getting the last reps of the set, I walked to the water fountain and I heard them say their are some serious people that work out in this gym. It made me laugh.
