How many of you don't live near beaches?

There are some great places to go in CT in the summer. Sunday/Monday night is the "service industry" night out along the coast. Lots of hot chicks.
My buddies from Hartford go down there and tear it up.

Growing up by the beach I've always taken it for granted. Now I'm an hour or two away and that already kinda hurts. I don't care what beach I live by though.

Less than 30 min going East, and about 1.5 hours if I go West.

Sucky part is that I haven't been to the Beach at all since last Fall :(

What do you do in the summer? Lakes? I live in CT right now which, some of you probably don't know, has zero beaches. The few things they do call beaches are actually just a gathering of dirt and rocks overlooking the Sound, which is not the Atlantic. Very very sad - this state could have the most amazing (and large) coast filled with beaches and beautiful water if not for that shithole island. I miss the real beach.

Dude I'll be at the Pavillion in Old Lyme this weekend.

Yea I live 10 minutes away from the sand of Long Island sound, but too bad it's not a beach. The water is disgusting and cold. The sand always has old seaweed and rocks on it. Killah is right, CT has potential if it wasn't for LI drawing all the shit into the Sound. The real beach is about 45 minutes up 95 off the coast of Rhode Island. Totally worth the drive.

I have the best of both... 30 mins from the rocky mountains, and a lakeside "cabin" in the mountains to go to when I want to hit the beach or go hiking...

Mountains and lakes mainly here. Nearest actual beach is like 1,200miles away. But nothing on earth compares with the view of the Denver/plains from 14,000 feet up.
