How many hours of sleep do you find yourself getting each night?

Just as the topic says and in what ways do you think it impacts or effects your bodybuilding progress for the amount you are getting on or off cycle? What would many of you consider enough? 6? 7? 8 hours of sleep? I know my body can get through the day just fine on 6-7 (which is what I get on average), am I depriving myself of better gains by not sleeping more? I have been on abulk these last 2 weeks and even though I am only sleeping 6-7 hours a night my strength continues to increase in the gym, so maybe for some individuals 5-7 is enough. Isnt it the case where the body stops releasing GH after about 4 hours of deep sleep?
 
For all those that have replied, how do you feel this is affecting you bodybuilding wise? And on or off cycle?
 
I work 12 hr shifts and train on days off or if I can after work,now I dont think its the lack of sleep thats bothering me,but all the fucking work I do,Im lucky to see the gym 3 times a week

Last night... none...working all night until just now. Been up since yesterday about 9am. Usually, I get 4-5 hours a night but my work schedule is very erratic since I am on call 24/7. Been making good gains in the gym as long as I eat enough and have plenty of energy usually. About once a month I will crash hard for about 12 hours then I am back at it. I believe you can adapt to any sleep schedule/pattern as long as you are eating well enough and taking care of yourself otherwise.

I believe this to be especially true, like I stated Ive only been getting 5-7 hrs a night and Ive still been making GREAT gains in the gym strengthwise ever since bulking as of late. Ive been training like a madman even on 5-7 hrs a night. I believe the body can adapt and learn to use what it has available to it after periods of prolonged exposure in a stressful environment.
 
Honestly, I sleep 8 hours every night, and I feel great. I can't sleep less or more, my body makes me.
 
Whatup Izze? I probably sleep 5 hours on friday/saturday night, during the week, i'm tired as hell from the labor all day, and usually just crash for close to 9 hrs.

I'd like to say sleep is super-important, but then there is quadsweep lol.

HAHA! Well I do believe I would grow more but shit...there is not enough time in the day. I need to win the fuckin' lottery. Man would I grow then! :evil:

Hey bro! Long time! Lucky bro eh? I envy all those who get 8 or more a night. Fucking sleep problems got me tossin' and turning all night! Guess its time to up the melatonin till it knocks me the fuck out.
 
varies..

though with proper biochemical manipulation even 4 can be sustainable... not particularly healthy but sustainable.. ie without impairing mental and physical effficacy.. though mood may suffer (even with manipulation)

I made a mistake... It's actually more like 5-6 hours a night...I can't figure out what my problem is...For some reason i can't go to bed before 1am!
I used the get atleast 8 hours of sleep a night, and i grew so much better...
