how many here actually bodybuild?

I use to be in bb more when I was younger, but now that I'm 40 and qualify for the masters division I'm thinking of getting back in it . Just have to find the time it takes.

I do, during the school year I goto the gym every day to either lift weights, do cardio, or go in the pool and swim.

I have some ab contraptions and a weider bench that I use to throw my dirty towels on, does that count?

To be honest I am surprised that so many here do. This used to be a very serious board with many bodybuilders and many who compete. Seems as though its changed alot the past 6 months (not a bad thing). Maybe i will see ya on stage.

Weightlifting is my form of Prozac.... if you look at me you would say..."That dude lifts weights" however I am not freaky huge....... just more muscular than most............

I wouldn't say I'm a bodybuilder...I lift 5 or 6 times a week (required for me to grow)...and I strive to better myself in mind and body. I guess weightlifting is my best chance to regularly face my own limitations and break through the barriers if I can. Of course, one side effect is a better physique so maybe I'm just kidding myself that it's mainly about pushing myself.

I lift 6 days a week now. I make sure I have at least 150g of protein in my diet each day. I constantly try to improve my strength.

By that definition I do NOT bodybuild.

Bodybuilding, in my opinion means trying to enlarge your body's muscles. Well, I am trying to make them stronger, but I don't want them to be so large that I can no longer cut down to below 140lb when I need to.

Just because you go to the gym each day doesn't make you a bodybuilder.
