How many cals on cut?

I'm 19 years old, 5'10", 163lbs, around 12-13% BF..... How many cals should I be eating on a cut?

For the last 6 wks, I've been eating around 2700 cals, lifting 3x a week, body parts each once a week, then doing HIIT on teus/thurs, and the fat has come off, altho a bit slow. I also take an ECA stack (EAS Betalean) weekdays, but not on weekends. My diet is clean and about 50/30/20 C/P/F ratio.

if your losing fat on ur current diet, i think if u simply switch the protein and carb percentages u should see great loss!!! 50 percent carbs is a ton for cutting, way to much IMO. im sure that is the consensus with everyone else on the forum(save for a few). also cut carbs after 6-7 if possible and at the latest 8! (unless ur out and about until real late, then adjust accordingly)

agreed big time there - but did you mean your 50/30/20 was carbs first or was that a mistake - it should be protein as 50% as stated above - and like boardin said, cut carbs at night unless its in your post workout shake when you need it most. IMO, 2700 calories to really try and cut is a bit too much cut it back to about 2200-2300 and make sure your protein is high and carbs low, you should melt it off with some hard work and good cardio sessions

Don't worry about your cals on a cut, moreso worry about your P/C/F ratio. Hopefully you just messed that up cause if you are losing lbs with 50% carb diet then god help me!:)

No offensive bro, but 5'10" at 163 is a bit thin. If you are 13% bodyfat, you'll probably have to drop as low as 130 to be ripped. There is nothing impressive about being ripped if you are 130 ibs. My advice, since you are not above 13% bodyfat after 2700 cals, 50% of which are carbs, and you are only 163 ibs, you are probably an ectromorph. My advice is to do a clean diet, such as the zone diet, eat as much as you possibly want and put on another 40 ibs before you worry about cutting. Build your foundation first. You cannot chisle a pebble.

It's perfectly possible losing fat on a 50% carb diet as I've done it in the past and I have anything but a fast metabolism. It may not be the perfect way, but it works for most people unless you are extremely insulin resistant. If this person is an ectomorph he could lose fat on a 75% carb diet if he really wanted to. If at 163 pounds he can eat 2700 calories and lose weight then I'd say he has a pretty damn fast metabolism. I weigh a hell of a lot more than this guy and eat less while cutting.
