How many cals do you burn weight training?

I must burn around 1200-1300 then because my workouts are at least an hour long. Does that mean 20 mins of lifting with breaks in between or without breaks? Ie: compiled together.

It depends on so many parameters that you can't throw a number like that

Where does this # comes from ?
 
I prefer to be on the conservative side. . I always estimate 300 cals for a 45 ~ 60 min kick-ass session: Lifting heavy, 12 reps min and till failure. 1 min rest between sets.

I might be off as well
 
Almost impossible to give a hard number. There are WAY too many variables.

Age
Genetics
Muscle Mass
Body Fat %
Intensity
Exercise Choice
Time of Day
Food Intake / Choices
Water Intake
Room Temp
Sleeping Habits

etc etc etc
