How long to wait after an appendectomy?

I had my appendix removed about three weeks ago. I lifted on Monday and yesterday (Thursday). I took it easy, but on certain lifts (like one-arm db rows, bench, lying tricept ext, etc) I'm getting a pulling sensation where my appendix used to be. Is this normal or should I take more time off?

This will depend on how your operation was performed. If it was a traditional open appendectomy where a larger incision is made then you should not perform any strenuous activity for a full three weeks. If it was a laproscopic appendectomy then you can resume physical activity within one to three weeks. This is just a guideline though. If you are still experiencing some discomfort in the area then just take it easy for a little while longer. If the discomfort is still there after additional time then you should check back with your physician.
