How long to stay on gear?

I know this an age old question which can lead to a huge debate. I also know that there is a ton of info on this if i search. I tried to search but i am still confused. I am a novice to gear and am hearing conflicting stories as to how long to stay on. I have spoken to a few so called pro's who both have different views. i dont want to offend anyone but taking advise on AS from A so called pro who looks like shit is very scary to me. Ive been told to go on very short cycle's 6 weeks on 6 weeks off. Ive also been told to stay on for up to 6 months. Which way do i go? i have been using AS for competetive bb purposes and dont care about 30lbs of water weight i want the quality muscle that the pro's have. I know this takes years and lots of hard work. im willing to do that. All i want to know is how long do i have to stay on to reach that type of look? Sorry to be long winded but any help would be appreciated. thnks

I think 8-10 week cycle would be good, you could come off a bridge between cycles. Let me know if you need any help making a cycle or have any questions

I'll give you a short answer and explain the reasoning behind it.

Stay on for 6-12 weeks. The length is up to you. Some people do it only for 6 weeks because they have found they don't make fast gains after week 6. Others prefer longer because they feel it helps them retain their gains easier when off.

The reason 12 weeks is the typical cutoff, is because after that, it is much more difficult to get your hpta back online. Once you are a pro, or an aspiring pro, or you just damn well feel like it, you can stay on as long as you have the gear.

The typical user (if there is such an animal) tries to stay off for as long as he is on. I say try, because it seems after about 8 weeks, they are ready to get back in the saddle again.

If your willing to sacrifice all these years and lots of hard work you oughta be willing to sacrifice a few hours of your time to search, read, and learn. There is no pat answer for cycle length. Do some research!

I personally think 8-12 weeks is the best range, but that's up to each individual and what they believe is best. I have also read that it's much harder to get your hpta back up after the 12 week point.

Thanks alot for the tips guys. Kid crush this is the begininng of my research I have searched the boards but there is alot of conflicting info. I have tried a few cycles and am looking for solid advise. i have mainly been using trial and error w/ a few tips here and there. I will use whatever info i get from this thread for my future use.
