How long do you do SF 5x5?

I've been doing single factor about 9 weeks. How long does one do single factor? I was under the impression that you keep doing it until you stop progressing? I've hit about 275-280 pound bench from 240-245, but I figure most of it is probably from the OT I've been on. Deads, Military Press everything is up except my Squat is kind of lagging a little bit. Up about 11 pounds. If I hit a roadblock during PCT and after, should I just drop the weights a bunch and work up again?
 
Run the cookie cutter program Madcow provides until your lifts stop[ progressing. Then, you can resset the loads back 3-4 weeks in order to contunie progressing. Or you can cut some volume from the lower sets in order to focus more on the top set(and keep it progressing).
 
Ripstone's got it right. Keep hammering away until you've stalled. You can also change your top set for 1x3 rather than 1x5 in the future, just to eek another few weeks from the program. The best idea would be to step back a little, then ramp up again.
