It takes a lot of time and a lot of money.
OK...it takes a great deal of time and a lot of money.
Really...it takes a tremendous amount of time and a lot of money.
You will likely sculpt from clays or waxes. I chose clay because it works better and I'm kind of smart on a good day.
Clays can be water based, oil based, or plasticene. Older clays may contain sulphur which means that silicones and rubbers will not cure on it. Softer clays are very malleable but hard to flatten once it is on the piece being sculpted. You need a lot of tools for sculpting clay. You need a lot of days for sculpting clay.
So you have made you artistic masterpiece. It is worthy of being immortalized as a bronze...or some such.
You need to encase your art in silicone to handle the heat of being bronzed. Several layers is a good idea for several reasons. Silicone needs to be backed up by something strong and this is where several things can go awry. My layers of plastic are not holding up the torque needed to remove the silicone from the art piece. So I will be appying a composite of acrylic bonder, hydrocal, and fiberglass matt. Mucho strongo.
Assuming this all works, and the front piece and back piece still match up, it is off to the foundry for bronzing.
The guy says he won't charge me extra for the size of her breasts. He clearly has not seen them.
And I will never get married. I ain't giving up my bronze.
