How is the Austin market?

I've visited Austin, TX a few times and would love to set up a place near the lake. Anyone from the area? How is the commercial construction market? Is there still plenty of high rises going up? How is the housing market?

Im in austin and the high rises are going up, its all about condos rob. just below downtown the old houses are being leveled because the land is so valuable its easier to throw up a new house

Do you ever hang out on Lake Travis or Lake Austin? I've had a blast out there.

The condo market in AZ is crashing right now, some talks of owner financing problems ect. I wonder how long it will last in Austin.

i used to all the time, travis is sweet, we used to go behind mansfield dam and slide out the water release tunnels into the river down below (totally illegal)
also used to jump off the 360 bridge into town lake, talk about fucking stupid lolol

Austin was rated in the top 5 growing cities in the US. Being a mortgage broker or realestate agent would be great there.

You cant anymore but used to you could drive down behind the dam where it lets out to the colorado river and drive over that low water crossing then swim onto the backside of the dam where those huge tubes are where they let the water out. One of the tunnels has a constant trickle of water coming out which forms a thick algae layer on the concrete. so we would go up in the tunnel and run out and slide down into the water. was fucking sweet except the water is bone cold cuz its from the bottom of the dam, but if you go in the summer its not bad. they fenced off the whole area now and you cant drive down there anymore but it was fun as hell to take chicks there.
jumping off the 360 bridge was never legal and totally stupid but we did it when i was a teen. you could fuck yourself up if you didnt land right, it was pretty high up.
